Triple Beam Balance

Teachers have been asking for better security for their triple beam balances for years and years. Adam TBB features a security bracket to keep the TBB safe as well as built-in tripod legs for quick and stable below-balance weighing, along with a wider overall body that’s sturdier for students to work with. This balance is the triple beam educators have been asking for.

Adam’s new TBB Triple Beam offers an assortment of valuable classroom features. First, in response to teachers’ overwhelming concerns about stolen triple beams, Adam built a security bracket into the TBB’s housing so that educators could easily keep their balances safe from theft. The bracket is compatible with any universal Kensington™ lock and cable. (Cable and lock sold separately.)

Secondly, the TBB comes equipped with unique tripod legs to lift up the balance for optimal visibility during below balance activities such as density experiments. The legs are both more stable and more convenient to use than the rod and clamp kits that other manufacturers offer. Because the legs are integrated into the balance, the TBB removes the hassle of fitting clamps onto a lab table and also erases concerns about damaging lab furniture. Adam’s TBB includes below-balance weighing as a standard feature rather than as an accessory.

Adam also added a protractor, ruler, and conversion chart right onto the balance’s housing, transforming the TBB into a complete measurement tool for schools. Finally, the TBB has a wider overall body than other triple beams, making it the sturdiest option for students. The company, Adam Equipment, presently has a patent pending on the innovative design of its TBB Triple Beam.

The TBB has a maximum capacity of 2610 grams, which is 2000 grams more than most other triple beams available to educational centers. The readability is 0.1g, the standard readability for this class of balance. The TBB is durable and easy to keep clean with metal housing and a stainless steel pan. A built-in mass holder provides handy storage for the additional weights when they are not in use. Quality center-point readings are ensured with magnetic dampening, positive poise positioning, well-defined notches, and three graduated-tier beams. A counterbalance knob provides quick zeroing.

The TBB is available both in a base model and there is also a model with a 225g tare capacity.
